Pulse snacks donated to Saskatoon Interval House
We do our best to give back to our community whenever possible. This weekend we dropped off our pulse snacks with Saskatoon Interval House. Saskatoon Interval House is a temporary shelter for women and their children leaving domestic violence who require safe accommodation. The donations were passed along to Adele House (a twelve-unit apartment building established for women from abusive relationships) and Open Door Society (an organization helping newcomers get settled into their new life in Canada).Saskatoon Interval House is doing great work in our community. Did you know? All of Canada’s prairie provinces have the right soil and climate to grow pulse products but right here in Saskatchewan, we grow more than 80% of all Canadian grown chickpeas! To give you an idea of how much that really is, in 2015 alone Canada exported 6 million tonnes of pulses worth more than $4.2 billion!!!
