Three Farmers Basted Turkey

Serves 8 Ingredients
  • 10-12lb Turkey
  • 1/4 cup camelina oil (try one of the Three Farmers Roasted Garlic & Chili or Roasted Onion & Basil oils for extra flavour)
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup chopped sage
  • 1/4 cup chopped rosemary
  • 2 large shallots (quartered)
  • 1 fresh lemon (quartered)
  • 1 can Guiness or dark beer/cider of your choice
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine garlic, sage and rosemary with the camelina oil, creating a ‘rub’. Place the shallots and lemon inside the turkey cavity. Crack a can of your favorite beer and place into the ‘butt’ of the turkey. Roast the turkey, uncovered, until it registers 170F (about 3 hours).
